David Jarlette, Registered Nurse - President

David has been active in the family business from the very beginning, working his way up the ranks to his current role as President of an organization which now includes 14 long-term care homes and 8 retirement lodges throughout Ontario.

As a student employee, he worked as an aide in the housekeeping, dietary and laundry departments of the original Jarlette long-term care home, a 23-room farm house in Midland, Ontario. He completed his education in nursing, as well as Long-Term Care Organization and Management, and eventually began his professional career within Jarlette Health Services as the administrator of a home. Like his father, as David became more active in the organization he also assumed volunteer roles, including within the Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA). Advocating on behalf of the seniors the Association serves, David's roles have included Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer and he has chaired numerous committees, including the Strategic Planning Committee, the Labour Relations Committee, the Budget Committee, and the Pension Committee.

David has also volunteered as Vice President of the Healthcare Health and Safety Association of Ontario. He continues to be an active spokesperson at Association events and meetings, continuing to advance the care for the residents we serve.

A native of beautiful Penetanguishene, David and his wife Alison, continue to reside in their hometown, where they raised four children, all of whom are now actively engaged in the day-to-day operations of Jarlette Health Services. David enjoys keeping active and is often seen biking to work on his mountain bike or motorcycle.
