Judy Maltais, Registered Nurse - Director of People, Engagement and Culture

Judy assumes the responsibility and accountability for improving the engagement of residents, family members and team members with the organization, helping them develop and grow, and enhance their opportunities for success.

Judy completed her Registered Nursing Diploma at Georgian College, and over the years has achieved a number of certificates including her Long Term Care Management, Non-Acute Care Infection Control Training and a Finance and Financial Management Services Certificate. In addition to nursing and long term care operations, her experience includes financial management and future planning, policy and procedure development, quality improvement and risk management, human resources and labour relations management.

During her 21 year career with Jarlette Health Services she has assumed many roles in the long term care division, both at the home and corporate level, including Director of Care, Administrator, Regional Manager and Director of Operations. Judy has served on the Quality Committee and the Red Tape Task Force both with the Ontario Long Term Care Association, where she has focused on process improvements in long-term care homes.

Judy is passionate about learning and supporting the organization�s success by supporting the success of the organization's team members. She is always seeking opportunities to engage and empower individuals, focusing on organization and planning in day-to-day work and projects.

Judy resides in Barrie with her husband and two young adult children. When she is not working, Judy and her family enjoy traveling, spending time together with friends in the outdoors, boating and ATVing.
