"It's been a year since our Mother came to Muskoka Landing. The home is clean, bright and cheery, in a wonderful location overlooking the lake. There are lots of activities and the meals are fine. But what really makes the difference at Muskoka Landing is the staff. The staff are of course, professional and courteous. Since coming to Muskoka Landing our Mother's health has declined. The level of support she receives is continually adjusted to mirror her current needs. We are confident that everything is being done to create a safe environment. All of this is what you would expect from a long-term care home. What we didn't expect is the caring and loving atmosphere created by the staff. The staff give our Mother lots of smiles, hugs and gentle teasing throughout the day. When helping her get ready for the day, there are the extra touches. Her hair is curled, she has necklaces on, and wears special clothes for her special days. She is encouraged to participate in the countless activities or just to mingle with the other residents. We are delighted that our Mother is never in her room. We are very fortunate that Muskoka Landing is our Mother's home and she has such a wonderful extended family. Halina D and Jerry J"
