The nautically-designed Bayfield House was named in honour of Admiral Henry Wolsey Bayfield, an early surveyor of the Great Lakes and lover of Georgian Bay.

"Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the care given to my mom, Arlene French, during her stay at your facility. From the outset our entire family felt that all of your staff truly cared about the wellbeing and comfort of those in your care. We truly appreciated staff going above and beyond for even just the little things to be taken care of such as Michelle T. helping to set up Rogers remote; always enjoyed the live entertainment, monthly birthday parties and happy hour that Lise arranged; Jennifer (GM) always took a moment to help with solutions and put our mind at ease; dining / cleaning staff and their attention to detail; Rebecca G. had to work her magic for mom to even sit comfortably to get hair done each week; certain RN/PSW staff such as Makayla, Denise and Karen who never hesitated to help with a smile or kind word, and so many others I'm likely forgetting and I apologize. My hope is that whoever receives this will share with others as staff need to know they are valued and that their hard work does not go unnoticed! When you can look around at others residing at Bayfield House and see the smiles or hear the laughter you can be proud of what you've accomplished - a place for people to call home.
